How to use the Asset Register in Farm Focus

Why

The Asset Register helps you:

• Keep an accurate record of all assets, both purchased and sold.

• Upload and store important documents and information related to your assets.

• Build up your asset records over time, even adding entries retrospectively.

• Documentation: Attach sale/purchase agreements, photos, and serial numbers.

• Flexibility: Add assets at any time, even retrospectively.

• Simplified management: Helps track your assets for accounting and organisational purposes.

How to record your assets in Farm Focus

• Go to Vault > Assets Register in your Farm Focus account.

• Click on the + Add an asset button to start recording a new asset.

• Enter the following details for each asset:

  • Purchase date: You can enter this retrospectively.

  • Asset definition: Provide a clear description of the asset.

  • Purchase price: The amount paid for the asset.

  • Asset type: Select the most appropriate category for the asset.

  • Notes: (Optional) Add any additional information or details.

  • Sale details: Once sold, enter the sale price and sale date. You cannot enter a negative figure or a date earlier than the purchase date.

  • Attachments: Upload any relevant documents or photos. [Click here to learn how to add attachments.]

• Click Save once you've entered all information.

NOTE: The Asset Register values are GST-exclusive.

Viewing and Managing Your Assets

• The list of assets will default by purchase date, but you can click any of the headers to sort them differently.

• To add a new asset, click on the +Add button.

• You can print or download a PDF copy of your asset list.

• To edit or delete an asset, click the three menu dots next to the asset.
