How to Change the KPI Group on a Farm Code in Farm Focus

Why:

KPI reporting groups dictate how farm data is displayed in the EFS report, helping you organise and analyse financial information by categories like Animal Health, Nitrogen, and Land Management.

• Allows flexibility to change how data is grouped for reporting purposes.
• Provides clarity in financial reports, making it easier to manage expenses and income.

How KPI Groups Work

Each farm code in Farm Focus is linked to a specific KPI reporting group. These groups determine how the information is displayed in the EFS report, which is structured by KPI groups rather than the usual code list format.

Example:

• • The Electricity category is linked to the Electricity KPI group.
  • The extended codes House and Farm inherit the same KPI group, while House Personal is linked to the Personal Drawings KPI group to separate personal expenses from farm working expenses.

Most extended codes inherit the KPI group of the category they sit under. However, you can manually change the KPI group for some extended codes if needed.

How to Change the KPI Group on a Farm Code

1. 1. Go to Settings:
      Navigate to Settings > Codes > Farm Codes.
   2. Select the Code to Edit:
      Choose the farm code you want to change the KPI group for.
   3. Change the KPI Group
   4. Click on the KPI reporting group drop-down box to select a new KPI group.

Each KPI group includes a description of the types of transactions best suited for that group. This can guide you in choosing the correct one for your needs.
