How to export transaction files to your general ledger

Why

Exporting transactions from Farm Focus allows you to seamlessly integrate your financial data into your preferred accounting software.

Before you start

• Ensure your chart of accounts is mapped correctly in the farm business.
• The General Ledger Export can generate data for:
  • A standard 12-month financial year
  • A custom date range (e.g., when the financial year length has changed due to a new balance date)
• You can choose to run the report in either cash or accrual mode:
  • Cash mode: Includes transactions recorded on a cash basis.
  • Accrual mode: Lists all outstanding accounts receivable and payable for the selected period.

Steps to export transactions

1. Go to Reports in Farm Focus.
2. Click Export to General Ledger.
3. Select your general ledger system (e.g., APS/XPA, MYOB, CCH iFirm, or Xero).
4. Choose the financial year you want to export.
5. Click Export.
