How to Set Up Your Fonterra Monthly Statement Feed

Steps to Set Up the Fonterra Feed

• Go to Settings and select Connectors.

• Click on Connect Fonterra.

• Ensure you have the following information ready:

  • Fonterra supplier name

  • Fonterra authorised signatory

  • Supply Number

  • Party Number

• Choose how you want your statement displayed:

  • Consolidated: Displays a consolidated view of your Fonterra statement, including production for the month, retro/deferred payments, and contract milking payments.

  • Detailed: Displays all the lines in the statement, allowing you to differentiate payments (e.g., winter milk premium, volume adjustment). You can code or merge lines as required.
    Note: The Consolidated view is recommended as it simplifies reporting and coding.

• Select your preferred invoice date:

  • Issue Date (the date the statement is issued) or

  • Period End Date (the month of milk supply).

• Click Save. Once saved, the Save button will change to Print form.

• Click Print form to print the form for the Fonterra authorised signatory to sign, scan, and forward to onlinefeeds@farmfocus.co.nz. Note: An e-signature is not acceptable.

• After Fonterra receives the signed form, the connection will be authorised, and the feed will start the following month.

What Happens Next?

• Your Fonterra feed will appear as two invoices in the Needs Action screen each month:

  1. An invoice related to milk production information (based on your selected display type).

  2. An invoice for deductions, such as DairyNZ and Biosecurity levies.

Tips

• The Fonterra feeds will be available between the 15th and 20th of each month, depending on Fonterra’s processes.

• You can easily switch between Consolidated and Detailed views at any time by going to Settings > Connectors > Fonterra. Any change will take effect the following month.

• You can cancel the feed before it is authorised by Fonterra by going to Settings > Connectors > Fonterra and selecting Cancel Feed.

• After the feed is live, you can disconnect it by going to Settings > Connectors > Fonterra and selecting Disconnect Feed. A warning message will appear before you disconnect.
