How to Analyse Transactions in the Accountants Annual Report (Section 4: Analysis by Code)

Why is this helpful?

The Analysis by Code section in the Accountants Annual Report gives you a clear, detailed view of your bank transactions grouped by category and extended code. It highlights uncoded transactions, helping you ensure your data is accurate and up to date.

Viewing Options

You can view transactions in the Analysis by Code section using the following options:

• Accrual View: Includes all invoices or events that occurred between the start and end of the date range (based on invoice or event date).
• Payment Date View: Includes all bank transactions that occurred between the start and end of the selected date range (based on cash payment date).
• Custom Date Range: Select a specific period to review transactions.
• Uncoded Transactions: Any uncoded transactions will appear at the top of the section.

Managing Uncoded Transactions

If there are any uncoded transactions in Farm Focus, they will remain at the top of the Analysis by Code section until they are coded or corrected. These transactions are not included in the total calculations.

Example:
If an invoice or transaction is not coded, it will be excluded from the corresponding sections of the Analysis by Code report.

Editing and Correcting Transactions

You can navigate directly to an invoice or transaction from a coding line in the Analysis by Code report by clicking the View (eye) icon.

This takes you to the associated invoice or transaction, where you can:

• Click +Edit to make changes.

• Save your changes.
• Return to the report automatically.
