How to import Ace Payroll, Smartly, and goPayroll invoices into Farm Focus

Steps to Complete

Follow these steps to import payroll files from Ace Payroll, Smartly, or goPayroll into Farm Focus:

Step 1: Upload the Payroll File

1. Go to the Needs Action screen in Farm Focus.

2. Select Payroll File from the File upload modal.

Step 2: Choose Your Provider

1. Select your provider: Ace Payroll, Smartly, or goPayroll.

   • NOTE: If you're using goPayroll, follow a slightly different process (click the provided link for more details).

Step 3: Browse and Select the File

1. Click Browse to locate the payroll file on your device.

   • NOTE: Ensure you’ve downloaded the file from your payroll provider’s website before starting.

Step 4: Import the File

1. Click Import to upload the file into Farm Focus.

Step 5: Review the Invoice

1. The payroll invoice will appear in the Needs Action screen, ready to be coded.

Tips and Tricks for Each Provider

• Ace Payroll:

  • The compatible file is found under Utilities > Export Data.

  • In the Export Setup, select Accounting Data and save the file to your device.

• Smartly:

  • The compatible file is located under Run a pay > Export pay details.

  • The file will be in CSV format and will be named ExportPayFile.

• goPayroll:

  • The compatible file can be found under Reports > Pays > Cost centre analysis (batch).

  • Click Run report, select Costing file from the dropdown, and click OK.

  • Then, download the glcosting.txt file to your device.
